What makes Prickly Provisions candles different?
Our candles are hand-poured in small batches using a coconut soy wax blend, clean fragrance compositions, and thoughtfully selected materials. We focus on refined scent performance, clean-burning formulations, and elevated design that complements modern living spaces.
Are your fragrance creations made with clean ingredients?

BURNING + FRAGRANCE EXPERIENCE
How should I care for my candle to get the best burn?
To ensure an optimal burn:
• Allow the wax to melt edge-to-edge on first light
• Trim the wick to ~¼" for cotton or ~¼" for wood before each burn
• Burn for 2–4 hours at a time for maximum scent throw
• Always burn on a stable, heat-resistant surface

Why is my candle tunneling?
Tunneling can occur if a candle isn’t given enough time to develop a full melt pool on the first burn. We recommend burning your candle for at least 2–4 hours during its first use so the wax can melt evenly across the surface.
How long will my candle last?
Burn time varies by size and wick type, but our small-batch candles are formulated for an extended, even burn that maximizes fragrance impact while minimizing waste. Each product page lists an estimated burn time. add an answer here

Will your scents be strong?
Our fragrances are thoughtfully composed for balance: noticeable, layered, and refined without being overpowering. Each candle and fragrance creation is designed to complement a space, not overwhelm it.
Do your products work well in large rooms?
Yes. Our fragrance compositions are developed to disperse evenly. However, if your space is exceptionally large or open-plan, pairing multiple fragrance pieces (candles + sprays, for example) can enhance overall ambiance.
ORDERS + SHIPPING
Do you offer international shipping?
At this time, we ship primarily within the U.S. For international or special order requests, please contact us. We’re happy to assist.
How long will my order take to ship?
Because we hand-pour each product in small batches, please allow 3–7 business days for processing before your order is shipped. Once it’s on its way, standard shipping times apply.
Can I customize or pre-order specific fragrances?

CARE + SAFETY
Are your candles safe for pets and families?
Yes. Our products are made with clean materials and phthalate-free fragrance, and are designed for conscious use in homes with people, pets, and daily life in mind. Always follow basic candle safety practices and never leave burning candles unattended.
What should I do if a candle smokes?
Light smoking can sometimes occur if the wick is too long, if air currents are present, or if the candle wasn’t trimmed before lighting. Always trim the wick to ~¼" before use and avoid burning near drafts.
