Our fragrance oils are selected from trusted fragrance suppliers for scent quality, depth, and performance. The fragrance oils used in our candles are phthalate-free, cruelty-free, and Prop 65 compliant.

Every candle is poured with natural coconut soy wax and finished with either an FSC-certified wooden wick or lead- and zinc-free cotton wick, depending on the vessel and candle format.

Our candles are designed for steady, even performance and a balanced fragrance experience. Scent strength may vary based on room size, airflow, ceiling height, fragrance type, and the length of each burn.

12 oz to 14 oz candles offer up to 90 hours of burn time and work well in living rooms, kitchens, open bedrooms, dining rooms, and larger everyday spaces.

10 oz candles offer up to 70 hours of burn time and are well suited for bedrooms, offices, kitchens, bathrooms, and medium living spaces.

7 oz to 8 oz candles offer approximately 56 to 60 hours of burn time, depending on the vessel and wick. These sizes work well in bathrooms, bedrooms, home offices, entryways, guest rooms, and smaller spaces.

Burn-time estimates assume proper candle care and may vary based on wick type, fragrance, room conditions, and individual burn habits.

We want every candle you light to be a moment of calm, comfort, or a little indulgence. To get the best (and safest) experience from your Prickly Provisions candles, here are a few simple care tips:

The First Burn Matters

Let your candle burn long enough for the entire top layer of wax to melt edge to edge. This helps prevent tunneling and ensures an even burn for future use. For most candles, that means 2–4 hours on the first burn.

Trim Your Wick

Before each burn, trim the wick to about 1/4 inch for cotton wicks and 1/8 inch for wooden wicks. This helps control the flame height, prevents soot, and extends the life of your candle.

Don’t Overdo It

Avoid burning your candle for more than 4 hours at a time. This keeps the wax pool clean and the scent throw balanced.

Follow the 2-Foot Rule

Always keep burning candles at least two feet away from anything flammable like clothing, books, curtains, plants, or decor. Safety first, always.

Burn on a Heat-Safe Surface

Place your candle on a flat, stable surface that can handle heat. Avoid placing near fans, air vents, or open windows where drafts can cause uneven burning or accidents.

Reuse Your Vessel

Our candle jars and concrete vessels are designed to be reused! Once your candle is finished, clean out the remaining wax and repurpose the container for pens, plants, or your next creative idea.

Returns

Custom items and candles that have been used are not eligible for returns, exchanges or refunds.

Packaged, non-candle, items can be returned or exchanged within 14 days of purchase providing they have not been opened/used. Clothing can be returned or exchanged within 14 days of purchase in original unworn condition. All requests for returns or exchanges require the item to be in its original condition at time of sale.

If you receive a product that was damaged during shipping, please contact us within 14-days of receipt for a potential replacement of the exact same item or item of equal value. If approved, you will only be responsible for shipping costs.

Understand that items may not be replaced, remade, or refunded that are lost or stolen or in transit. We will be happy to assist you with eligible returns, the return instructions, and the shipping address. If you need a return or exchange, please message or send us an email so we can discuss.
