Our fragrance oils are hand selected from artisan suppliers who specialize in unique, complex scent blends. Chosen for performance, depth, and a cleaner formulation, they are made without phthalates, parabens, mutagens, hormone disruptors, Prop 65 restricted ingredients, or essential oils known to be harmful to people or pets.

Our candles are crafted with natural coconut soy wax and finished with either FSC-certified natural crackling wooden wicks or lead-free and zinc-free cotton wicks to support a clean, slow, even burn.

Our candles are designed for a clean, even burn and a balanced scent experience. Scent strength may vary based on room size, airflow, ceiling height, fragrance type, and burn time.

12 oz to 14 oz candles offer up to 90 hours of burn time and are best suited for living rooms, kitchens, open bedrooms, dining rooms, and larger everyday spaces.

10 oz candles offer up to 70 hours of burn time and work well in bedrooms, offices, kitchens, bathrooms, and medium living spaces.

7 oz to 8 oz candles offer up to 60 hours of burn time and are ideal for bathrooms, bedrooms, home offices, entryways, guest rooms, and smaller spaces.

Burn times reflect proper candle care, including trimming the wick before each burn and allowing the wax to melt evenly across the surface. For best results, please review the Candle Care & Tips section below.

We want every candle you light to be a moment of calm, comfort, or a little indulgence. To get the best (and safest) experience from your Prickly Provisions candles, here are a few simple care tips:

The First Burn Matters

Let your candle burn long enough for the entire top layer of wax to melt edge to edge. This helps prevent tunneling and ensures an even burn for future use. For most candles, that means 2–4 hours on the first burn.

Trim Your Wick

Before each burn, trim the wick to about 1/4 inch for cotton wicks and 1/8 inch for wooden wicks. This helps control the flame height, prevents soot, and extends the life of your candle.

Don’t Overdo It

Avoid burning your candle for more than 4 hours at a time. This keeps the wax pool clean and the scent throw balanced.

Follow the 2-Foot Rule

Always keep burning candles at least two feet away from anything flammable like clothing, books, curtains, plants, or decor. Safety first, always.

Burn on a Heat-Safe Surface

Place your candle on a flat, stable surface that can handle heat. Avoid placing near fans, air vents, or open windows where drafts can cause uneven burning or accidents.

Reuse Your Vessel

Our candle jars and concrete vessels are designed to be reused! Once your candle is finished, clean out the remaining wax and repurpose the container for pens, plants, or your next creative idea.

We are not currently shipping to customers outside the United States at this time.

Returns

Custom items and candles that have been used are not eligible for returns, exchanges or refunds.

Packaged, non-candle, items can be returned or exchanged within 14 days of purchase providing they have not been opened/used. Clothing can be returned or exchanged within 14 days of purchase in original unworn condition. All requests for returns or exchanges require the item to be in its original condition at time of sale.

If you receive a product that was damaged during shipping, please contact us within 14-days of receipt for a potential replacement of the exact same item or item of equal value. If approved, you will only be responsible for shipping costs.

Understand that items may not be replaced, remade, or refunded that are lost or stolen or in transit. We will be happy to assist you with eligible returns, the return instructions, and the shipping address. If you need a return or exchange, please message or send us an email so we can discuss.
